Overview
Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is the definitive remote Himalayan adventure — a 22-day expedition into the far east of Nepal where the infrastructure is minimal, the culture is raw, and the views of the world’s third highest mountain (8,586m) are utterly overwhelming. The restricted-area permit limits visitors to a trickle, meaning you will share trails with yak herders and monks rather than tour groups. The circuit visits both the North Base Camp (Pangpema, 5,143m) and South Base Camp (Oktang, 4,730m), crossing the challenging Sinelapcha La Pass (4,646m) between them.
This trek requires previous high-altitude trekking experience. Logistical planning is essential — tea houses are sparse in the upper reaches and camping is sometimes required. Our team carries full camping equipment, medical supplies, and emergency satellite communication devices.
