International Adventures Treks & Expeditions has been running treks and expeditions in Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, India and Sikkim since 1996. Three decades in the mountains means we know the trails, the seasons, the permit offices and the lodges that actually deliver. Clients booking with us are working with a company that has weathered every change in the industry, from route closures to shifting permit rules, and adapted without cutting corners.
We don't compete on rock-bottom prices by trimming meals, transport or staff. Our rates reflect what you actually get: private transport on road sections, proper accommodation along the trail, and experienced crew who know how to keep a trip running smoothly at altitude. Ask any of our past clients and they'll tell you the value shows up in how the trip actually runs, not just in the quote.
Every trek we run uses licensed guides, in line with Nepal's 2023 regulation requiring certified leadership on all trekking routes. Our guides and porters are trained, insured and familiar with the specific demands of each region, whether that's altitude management on the Annapurna Circuit or the logistics of a restricted area like Upper Mustang. You're never handed off to someone learning on the job.
Most of our departures are capped at a size that keeps the trip personal. Smaller groups mean more contact with your guide, easier access to villages and teahouses off the main routes, and a lighter footprint on the trails and communities we pass through. It also means problems get solved quickly, because your leader isn't managing forty people at once.
We're a Kathmandu-based company, not a foreign operator subcontracting local staff. Our guides and porters come from the regions we trek through, and we work to make sure tourism income actually reaches the villages along the route. That local knowledge also means sharper, more current information for you, on everything from permit costs to trail conditions.
Departure dates, group size, accommodation upgrades, extensions before or after your trek, we can adjust most of it. If you want a fully tailor-made itinerary rather than a set departure, our team will build one around your fitness level, timeframe and interests, whether you're travelling solo, as a couple or with a group.
