Overview
The Gokyo Lakes Trek is the quieter, more scenic alternative to the classic Everest Base Camp route. It takes you deep into the Gokyo Valley — a hidden world of six sacred glacial lakes shimmering turquoise at over 4,700m — and up Gokyo Ri (5,357m), a summit that offers a simultaneous view of Everest (8,849m), Cho Oyu (8,188m), Lhotse (8,516m), and Makalu (8,481m). Fewer trekkers, more dramatic scenery, and a genuine sense of discovery.
