Annapurna Moderate Autumn, Spring

Annapurna Base Camp Trek

13 Days

Overview

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek (ABC) leads you into the heart of the Annapurna massif — a natural amphitheatre ringed by ten peaks above 7,000m, including Annapurna I (8,091m), Hiunchuli (6,441m), Machapuchhare (6,993m), and Gangapurna (7,455m). The approach through the lower foothills is remarkably varied: terraced paddy fields cascade down hillsides, Gurung and Magar villages maintain traditional culture, and the Modi Khola gorge — one of the deepest gorges on Earth — channels you upwards through dense rhododendron forests that explode with crimson and pink blossom in spring.

This is a moderate trek accessible to anyone with basic fitness and 4–6 hours of daily hiking capacity. There are no technical sections and good teahouse accommodation throughout. The sanctuary itself feels otherworldly — you camp (or sleep in lodges) literally inside the circle of giants.
