Overview

For those with limited time or physical limitations, the EBC Helicopter Tour delivers one of travel’s most extraordinary experiences in a single day. Depart Kathmandu at dawn in a private  helicopter, fly over the Solu Khumbu foothills, land at Lukla for a brief fuel stop and fresh mountain air, continue along the Khumbu Valley past Namche Bazaar and Tengboche — visible beneath you as toy-sized clusters of stone buildings — to Kala Patthar (5,545m) for photographs with Everest’s summit pyramid filling the sky. Then descend to Everest Base Camp itself, where expedition teams maintain their seasonal camps beside the Khumbu Icefall. Return to Kathmandu in time for lunch.

Helicopter departs Kathmandu airport at 6:00–7:00 AM. Flight time approximately 45 minutes to Lukla (2,860m). Brief stop for fuel and mountain air.
