Annapurna Extreme Spring, Winter

Pisang Peak

Pisang Peak (6,091 m.) lies just north of the Manang Valley, locally known as Jong Ri, located in between Annapurna I and Manaslu. Beside the rich local cultural background, Pisang Peak climbing route offers amazing collection of flora and fauna while following the Thorang pass route of Annapurna circuit.

Since 2005 the climb is approaches via west ridge. The upper part of the ridge above the high camp at 5,200 m. is guarded by huge rock slabs, which makes it difficult to climb, especially in wet or snowy conditions. In terms of difficulties, inexperienced climbers may find Island Peak and Chulu Far East easier.
