Chisopani Nagarkot Trek

144 Days

The Chisopani Nagarkot Trek is a short and relatively easy hiking route in Nepal, perfect for those seeking a brief taste of the Himalayan landscape without venturing too far from Kathmandu. This trek typically takes 2-3 days to complete and offers stunning views of the Himalayan range, including peaks like Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, and on clear days, even Mount Everest.

our trek begins in Sundarijal, an hour drive from Thamel, a town on the outskirts of Kathmandu Valley, and winds through lush forests and traditional Tamang villages. We begin our climb to Chisopani, where we usually spend the first night. The next day involves a scenic walk along the ridge to Nagarkot, a popular hill station known for its sunrise and sunset views of the Himalayas.

This trek provides a good balance of natural beauty and cultural experiences, allowing trekkers to observe rural Nepali life while enjoying panoramic mountain vistas. It’s suitable for beginners and families, as the trails are well-maintained and the altitude gain is moderate.
